Itinerary

Day 1 : Cochin - Munnar (140 kms /4-5 hrs)

Arrival at Cochin airport/ railway station. Set on a beautiful drive to Munnar. This famous hill station was once the summer capital of the British Government in India. The never ending vast expanse of tea plan-tations and the round the year moderate climate makes it a haven for tourists who look for a cool break. The day at leisure. Overnight at Munnar
Day 2 : Munnar

Visit to Rajamala - house of the highly endangered mountain goats - the Nilgiri Thars. Then to Echo point and Mattupetty Dam. Speed boating facilities are available here. The dam is flanked by forests and vast expanse of grass land on one side and the Kundala tea plantation on the other. After noon at leisure. Overnight at Munnar.
Day 3 : Munnar - Thekkady (120 kms /4-5 hrs)

Morning proceed to Thekkady. By noon arrive at Thekkady. Afternoon at Periyar lake which is part of a 777 Sq Km wild life sanctuary. This is the only sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience of viewing the wild life at close quarters from the safety of boat. Overnight in Thekkady .
Day 4 : Thekkady - Allepey ( 150 kms /4-5 hrs )

Post breakfast proceed to Alleppey. By noon check in at the house boat in Alleppey for a 20 hour house boating through the fabled backwaters of Kerala. On the way you witness the local village lives, activities in the back drop of picture-perfect backdrops. Overnight in the house boat. House boat is a traditional thatched boat with fully furnished interiors with bath attached bed rooms, an in-house kitchen, dining area and private front deck to capture the beauty of the backwaters .
Day 5 : Alleppey-Cochin (70 kms / 1-2 hrs)

After breakfast checkout and proceed to Cochin and if time permits visit Fort Kochi & Mattanchery where you see the magnificent Jewish synagogue, Dutch Palace, St francis Church, Chinese fishing Net Etc . Evening at Marine Drive and drop at hotel
Day 6 : Cochin Drop

After breakfast checkout and proceed to Cochin and drop at Cochin airport / railway station for onward journey
