Itinerary

  • Day 01: Delhi – Leh

    Arrive at Leh airport, to be received by our representative & transferred to the Hotel. Spend rest of the day in the hotel as you need to acclimatize well to the high altitude. Overnight Hotel.

  • Day 02: Sightseeing around Leh.

    After breakfast proceed for the sightseeing tour of Leh with visits to Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa. Overnight Hotel.

  • Day 03: Medical Check Up

    After breakfast proceed to SNM Hospital for mandatory medical check up. Afternoon free at your leisure. Overnight Hotel in Leh.

  • Day 04: Leh – Chiling/ Shingra-Gongma to Deep Yokma (3300m) 6 hrs drive (Taxi/Bus):/1 ½ hrs trek approx.

    In the morning after breakfast drive towards Nimoo where the confluence of river Zanskar and Indus is located, from there take left and drive along the Zanskar River till you reach Shingra Gongma. Starting this trek to Deep where you’ll see number of caves, and you will also see Tsomo Paldar, naturally flowing spring water. After a day long trek you will set your tent at Deep for your night stay.

  • Day 05: Deep Yokma to Nyrakpulu (3400m) 4-5 hrs.

    Start the trek from Deep, after 4-5 hours of walk you will be reaching Nyarakpulu. After Lunch visit the Big water fall and beautiful village called Nyarak. Reaching this village you will get to know about Zanskar people and its way of life. From there Singee-La will be visible, which is a summer trek.Overnight Camp.

  • Day 06: Nyarakpulu – Lingshed (3800m) 6-7 hrs.

    Walk on Chadar / Frozen sheet for 1-2hrs & then another 5hrs steep walk up to Lingshed Village. All your tiredness will vanish after spending the night at Lingshed village Home stays where local heating is available. Overnight Homestay.

  • Day 07: Rest in Lingshed village (4000m) and visit monastery:

    Spend the day exploring Lingshed Village, its Monastery & a school for the monks. Lingshed is connected with other parts of Ladakh only through trek routes therefore in winters hardly any tourists visits this place. Overnight Homestay.

  • Day 08: Lingshed – Tsarakdo 7hrs.

    Start the trek early as today you will have to walk for 7 hrs to reach Tsarakdo. Overnight camp.

  • Day 09: Tsarakdo – Pidmo 5hrs.

    Trek on the ice trail through the gorge. The gorge ends at Hanamur and the view opens at Pidmo. Overnight camp.

  • Day 10: Pidmo – Zangla (3370m) 5hrs.

    A short walk on the road will lead you from Pidmo to the village of Zangla. We cross the Chadar by bridge to reach Zangla, where the erstwhile king of Zanskar resides. We will visit the fort and go around the large village. Overnight in Zangla village

  • Day 11: Zangla – Karsha, 3hrs

    Morning after breakfast, drive to Stongde village & visit the beautiful Stongdey monastery built on a hill top by Lama Marpa 950 years ago. From the monastery, you will get an amazing and spectacular view of mountains. Overnight camp.

  • Day 12: Karsha full day (3800m):

    Spend the day exploring the valley & visiting the Karsha Monastery one of largest monastery in Zanskar, founded by Great Lama Phagspa Shesrab. Overnight camp.

  • Day 13: Karsha – Zangla 3 hrs drive.

    Today you will be driven to Zangla from Karsha. Overnight camp.

  • Day 14: Zangla to Zanglasumdo 4hrs.

    Simple walk through the wilderness of deep gorges following the trail beyond the chortens which enters a side gorge. For 5-6km of gorge would be populated with willows after which it opens into a broad valley .Overnight camp.

  • Day 15: Zanglasumdo to Chupchak via CharChar-La (4950m) 7hrs.

    From the camp the trail ascends eastward entering a dry silent valley. Ascending the CharChar La affords view south to the Himalayan range while the ridges and gorges of Zanskar extend to the North as far as eye can reach. Overnight camp.

  • Day 16: Chupchak to Wangchuk chenmo 5hrs.

    Simple trek through the gorge with lots of tress. Overnight camp.

  • Day 17: Wangchuk chenmo to Kharnak sumdo 6 hrs

    Simple walks in the valley will take you to Kharnak sumdo. Overnight camp.

  • Day 18: Kharnaksumdo to Rabrang 6hrs.

    Always walk in the valley. Stiff cliffs called Ngari Ngartsak thang lies on the way. This route opens only in 2nd week of Sept. when the level of water decreases only then the horses can walk. Overnight camp.

  • Day 19: Rabrang to Themkachen crossing Langhru-La (4300m) 6-7hrs.

    Overnight camp.

  • Day 20: Themkachen to Markha 6hrs.

    Markha village consists approximately of 50 houses & is by far the biggest village in the valley. It has a monastery on a mountain spur at the lower end of the village. Overnight camp.

  • Day 21: Markha to Skiu 7 hrs.

    Visit Markha monastery in the morning and then start walking towards Sku which which will take about 6-7hrs. Overnight camp.

  • Day 22: Skiu to Chiling to Leh 5hrs.

    Start the walk from Sku to Chiling. From Chilling you will be driven to Leh by Jeep. Overnight Hotel.

  • Day 23: Rest in Leh:

    Spend the day at your leisure. Overnight Hotel

  • Day 24: Leh - Delhi.

    In the morning you will be driven to the airport from where you will board the flight to Delhi.
