Itinerary

  • Day 01: Agartala (Tripura)

    Today arrive at Agartala airport, received and then we will visit Ujjayanta Palace, Laxmi Narayan temple, Gagarnath temple and later visit Akhura Border ( Indo – Bangla Border), then check into hotel, evening at leisure and refreshment. Overnight stay will be in Agartala.

  • Day 02: Agartala (Tripura)

    Today after breakfast we will drive to Udaipur (50 kms / 02 hrs drive), enroute we will visit Sipahijala Wildlife Sanctuary after spending an hour , we will proceed to Udaipur, on reaching Udaipur visit Gunabati temple (interestingly built), Kashaba Kali temple bordering Bangladesh, Tripura Sundari temple then we will proceed to Mela Ghar to visit Neer Mahal. Back drive to Agartala and overnight stay.

  • Day 03: Agartala (Tripura)

    Today after breakfast we will drive to Kailashahar and further to Unakoti town (5 hrs drive one way), reach Unakoti and explore the area and later drive back to Agartala and overnight stay. Unakoti: It is ‘Shaiba’ (Saivite) pilgrimage and dates back to 7th – 9th centuries if not earlier. The marvellous rock carvings, murals with their primitive beauty. Unakoti means one less than a crore and it is said that these many rock cut carvings are available here. As per Hindu mythology, when Lord Shiva was going to Kashi along with one crore gods and goddesses he made a night halt at this location. He asked all the gods and goddesses to wake up before sun rise and proceed for Kashi. It is said that in the morning, except Shiva himself, no one else could get up so Lord Shiva set out for Kashi himself cursing the others to become stone images. As a result we have one less than a crore stone images and carvings at Unakoti. These carvings are located at a beautifully landscaped forest area with green vegetation all around which add to the beauty of the carvings.The images found at Unakoti are of two types, namely rock-carved figures and stone images. ( it’s a long day excursion – Unakoti is a beautiful place to visit)

  • Day 04: Agartala – Silchar (Assam)

    Today after breakfast drive to Silchar (06 hrs drive), check into hotel and overnight stay.

  • Day 05: Silchar – Aizawl (Mizoram)

    Today after break drive to Aizawl ( 05 hrs drive), the capital city of Mizoram, check into a homestay and later visit the Aizawl city view point. Overnight stay in Aizawl.

  • Day 06: Aizawl – Reiek (Mizoram)

    Today after breakfast we will drive to Zokhua and then proceed to Reiek, lunch at Reiek Tourist Resort. After lunch and refreshment we will go for a nature trek up Reiek Peak in the afternoon. Overnight stay at Reiek Tourist Resort.

  • Day 07: Reiek - Aizawl (Mizoram)

    After an early breakfast drive to Aizawl and visit the local sightseeing – Museum, Bara Bazaar, Aizawl view Point. Evening at leisure and overnight stay.

  • Day 08: Aizawl – Silchar (Assam)

    Today explore a bit of Aizawl town and later drive to Silchar (05 hrs drive), reach Silchar and check into hotel, evening at leisure and overnight stay.

  • Day 09: Silchar – Imphal (Manipur)

    We have to start very early morning as this is the longest drive in the tour, it would take 13 hrs to reach Imphal, on reaching Imphal check into hotel and overnight stay.

  • Day 10: Imphal (Manipur)

    Today after breakfast we will first visit Japanese Memorial in Red Hill (30 min drive), then we will visit INA in Moirang and then we will visit Loktak lake (the drive and excursion would take 5 hrs), drive back to Imphal and visit war memorial and Imphal War Museum, later if time permits visit a temple and take a walk into Ima market, check into hotel and overnight stay.

  • Day 11: Imphal – Kohima (Nagaland)

    Today we will drive to Kohima (06 hrs drive), on reaching Kohima check into hotel, enroute we can visit Maram village. Overnight stay in Kohima.

  • Day 12: Kohima – Khonoma – Kohima (Nagaland)

    Today we shall have a detailed tour of Khonoma “The First green Village in the Country”. On reaching Khonoma, start exploring the village by visiting Morungs, traditional gates, Forts, and local people as you unearth the traditions and cultural lifestyle of the local people. We shall witness and participate in some local crafts, indigenous games. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the buffer zone of Community Sanctuary or Terrace field. Later we shall involve with some local leaders and take part in “talking values”. After day long excursion, drive back to Kohima and overnight stay.

  • Day 13: Kohima – Dimapur – Fly

    Today drive to Dimapur airport for onward destination.
