After breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing tour of Namobuddha, a famous Buddhist pilgrimage site situated near Panauti in Kavre district. Buddhist legend has it that one of the earlier Buddhas once came across a tigress who had given birth to cubs, but she was so frail and weak that she could not go out hunting, leaving her cubs to die of starvation. In utmost piety, the kind Buddha offered his own flesh to the tigress to keep her and the cubs alive. There is a small stupa built in reverence to the ultimate sacrifice of the Buddha. O/N Dhulikhel.
After breakfast checkout from the hotel and drive to Kathmandu Enroute visit to Doleshwor Mahadeva Temple, it is the Head Part of Kedarnath Temple, in Uttarakhand, India; Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Bhaktapur or Bhadgaon literally meaning ‘the City of Devotees’ is the smallest city in the Kathmandu valley. Its Main Square or ‘Layaku’ is famous for the 15th century Palace of 55 Carved Windows with the Golden Gate as a royal entrance. In front of the palace building are innumerable temples and architectural showpieces including the Lion Gate, the statue of King Bhupatindra Malla mounted on a giant stone pillar and the stone temple of Vatsala Devi; another beautiful example of Shikhara-style architecture. There is a bronze bell on the terrace of the temple, which is also known as the Bell of Barking Dogs. This was erected in 1737 by King Ranjit Malla; its sounding announced the beginning and end of a daily curfew. O/N Kathmandu
After breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing tour of Patan Durbar Square, the Patan city popularly known as 'the city of artisans', accommodates a magnificent square housing the palace buildings of the then royals, artistic courtyards and graceful pagoda temples – a display of Newari architecture that had reached its pinnacle during the reign of the Malla kings. It is filled with wood and stone carvings, metal statues, and ornate architecture, including dozens of Buddhist and Hindu temples, and over 1200 monuments. Kathmandu Durbar Square - Chief attractions here include Hanuman Dhoka Royal Palace, the magnificent Taleju Temple towering more than 40 meters; Kumari Ghar, the residence of the Living Goddessi; the temple of Ashok Vinayak dedicated to lord Ganesh and Kal Bhairav. There is a giant pagoda of ‘Kasthamandap’, a structure which is said to have been built out of a single tree. The name of the capital ‘Kathmandu’ is said to be actually derived from ‘Kasthamandap’. Swayambhunath, Said to be around 2000 years old, this Buddhist Stupa sits atop a hillock overlooking the valley, a legend has it that the stupa evolved spontaneously at the time of the Kathmandu valley’s creation, also known as the ‘Monkey Temple’ owing to the presence of a large number of monkeys around the area. After breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing tour of -- The Pashupatinath Temple - dedicated to Pashupati, a form of Shiva, it was classified as a World Heritage Site in 1979. It is a"sprawling collection of temples, ashrams, images and inscriptions raised over the centuries along the banks of the sacred Bagmati river", and is one of seven monument groups in UNESCO’s designation of Kathmandu Valley. Boudhanath Stupa - also known as Boudhanath, Khasti Chaitya and khasa, its massive mandala makes it one of the largest spherical stupas in Nepal and the world. The Stupa is said to entomb the remains of Kassapa Buddha. It is located on the ancient trade route from Tibet. Budanilkantha- It is known for the famous Budanilkantha Temple, which houses a large stone statue of Lord Vishnu reclining on a serpent. Budanilkantha is also notable for its lush surroundings, with beautiful views of the nearby hills and forests. It's a popular spot for trekking, nature walks, and enjoying a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu city. O/N Kathmandu
